Info: Grid
The Grid pane of the Info window lets you adjust the document's grid settings.

In the Spacing section you can move the slider or type a number for the amount of space between grid points.

If Snap to Grid is checked, shapes you create and move with the mouse will automatically align their edges to the grid.

Check Show Grid to display the grid in the document window. Grid lines use the color from the Minorcolor well on the right. By default, graphics will obscure the grid lines; check Grid in Front to have the grid lines always draw on top of the document's content. When Show Major Grid is checked, another set of grid lines is drawn using the color from the Major color well; by default, a major grid line is drawn for every 8th minor grid line, but this can be changed in the text field following the "X" in the Spacing section above.

If Snap to Grid is turned off, you can align a selected graphic to the grid by clicking Align Edges to Grid or Align Centers to Grid.

Grid lines will not be included in printouts of the document.
